This was a reply to an article in the Huffington Post. Please post comments and debate below. I did not agree with the article, but I was more ashamed of the comments after the article. It's poor judgment and misguided at best.
Wow, it's funny to read the comments here. I especially like the one that said "the legislative leaders found no strings attached". Right. You fellow Americans just don't get it. You still fight this same pathetic fight. You still make it about left vs right. Republican vs Democrat. There are pros and cons to both sides. That is why the system was created that way. to have checks and balances. You don't see America as a whole that needs to work together, you see that you WON and that the Republicans are evil and should be thrown in prison. That is poor and unproductive.
I'm a Republican and a Conservative. I am foremost though, an American. We will not dig ourselves out until the politicians can lead us that way as well. When you have a Senator like Arlen Specter switching sides, not for the good of the country, but to preserve his job, that is not a leader.
I fear for the success of our country. Ignore the propaganda and the lies. Study facts. Go beyond places like Foxnews and Huffington post. Educate yourself and stop sounding like drone idiots -Both Sides!
-I believe Obama has seriously jeopardized the security of our country, our economy and our future. I'll go to bat against anybody on those facts.
