Real or Contrived? Lawmakers Argue Over Nature of Health Care Protests - Political News - FOXNews.com

This article is a direct result of Congress and other lawmakers not wanting the mass majority to realize just how upset the American public is. They don't want you to see that we are making a difference. They don't want to you to join the cause and speak out. This would be Obama's and Pelosi's worst nightmare. This is the exact time that you should not let up. Call the Congressional switchboard, call the White House switchboard and call your local congressman. Let them know that you do not agree with this health care bill. Let them know that it is not the right of them to vote without knowing every inch of whats in that bill. Not with this much at stake. Call everyday. Make their recess the worst time for them. Send the message that we demand accountability and responsibility. You are making a difference, don't let up and don't listen to them!

A Boeing 757 and a fleet of armored cars for Michelle’s sight seeing tour!

Michelle One
On Sunday, President Obama flew back to the United States on Air Force One. His wife, two daughters and her mother did a bit of shopping in Paris before taking their own Boeing 757 (C-32) over to London to do some sight seeing.

We all remember Obama’s admonishment to corporate CEO’s in February:
“You can’t get corporate jets, you can’t go take
a trip to Las Vegas or go down to the Super Bowl on the taxpayers dime.”

Apparently that doesn’t apply to his wife.

The London Times opened it’s description of Michelle’s visit this way:
Motorcycle outriders, armoured Chevrolets and bullet-headed men in raincoats criss-crossed London yesterday as Michelle Obama and her daughters spent a second day on an unofficial visit to the capital.

The Times went on to describe that when Michelle and the girls arrived at Westminster Abbey, the building was closed to tourists with people already in told to “wait against the wall.” An American visiting the Abbey said “Right then I knew it was probably someone from our ‘royal family’.”

Michelle’s motorcade shut down the London street above as the First Lady of the World and her children go for Fish and Chips at a pub in Mayfair . The entourage inside the restaurant was 15 people while dozens more wait outside. Include the dozens of Air Force personnel to fly and service the plane, embassy personnel and other staff and we are talking about a serious expenditure of tax payer dollars.

Meanwhile, millions of Americans have lost their jobs and won’t be able to take their family on a summer holiday. Despite their circumstances they’ll still be expected to fork over the tax dollars to pay for Michelle’s trip.

Tell your friends about this -- it's your money being spent!!

cap-and-trade bill

Say, have you heard that Michael Jackson died Thursday? Yeah, I think I might have caught that somewhere too.

Did you know the House of Representatives voted to pass the new cap-and-trade legislation on Friday? If you are like hundreds of millions of other Americans (and much of the media, apparently), you haven't heard about it. For a bill that some have called the most widespread, comprehensive, SOCIALISTIC bill that has passed the house in a quarter century, it has gotten precious little media attention.

Members of the house got the 1400 page bill late Thursday evening. The vote was scheduled for Friday. Ever try to read 1400 pages in 12 hours?

But of course, details little matter when you are in the process of completely destroying the American econonmy, I guess.

Thankfully, this bill still has to be passed in the Senate, and that will be a great battle. Hold out hope that it won't live.

But here's the truth... this bill 1) will not lower carbon emissions at all 2)will raise the power bills for American families and businesses 3)will further handicap American business as they attempt to compete with Chinese and Indian businesses, who laugh at things like "protecting the environment" 4) will put in motion countless additional layers of government beauracracy, red tape, and expenses 5) will, in effect, be a tax increase for all Americans, even if you make less that $250,000. (Obama campaigned on merely taking money from the rich. Guess what? He wants yours too.)

Chances are, if you voted for Barack Obama and still think he is the messiah, this will mean little to you. He's got all the answers and will make everything all right, right? If this is you, you can go back to watching news coverage of the Michael Jackson vigil. Little things like democracy, laws, and politics can be SOOOO boring, huh?

The revolution will not be teleprompted.

Cap and Trade Voting Results Are In!

See how your representative voted and then
call or write to them and tell them strongly how
you feel about their vote. If they voted against,
thank them. If they voted for, tell them you'll
actively work against them when they're up for
re-election.
